Final review
Everything is basically finished and in polishing stages. Since the art was completed, we did the card layout, tuckbox design, and booklet design. Again – will retroactively add pictures here once we’ve formally announced the product.
There are a few minor details to attend to in ensuring that it is ready.
One thing that I did after receiving these finals is to assemble the cards into 3x3 pages and have them printed at the local printer. Then, I cut the card prints out using a paper cutter, stuffed card sleeves with a standard card back (an old Magic: the Gathering card, in this case), and inserted the printed card.
We used this for both making a demo video of the game (for promotional purposes) as well as to identify any issues like font contrast, saturation, and any usability issues with how the cards feel in play and in-hand.
The next step is sending these final art files to the printer, and then after that we receive the prints and that finishes this one off!
